West Point, Mississippi, feels like Disney World or Clark’s Trading Post, or some kind of nostalgic amusement park – except that it’s very real life and very abandoned, quiet. A shadow of what once was. I wonder what it was like years ago, when Main Street was alive.

Tombigbee River
We took two pontoon boats on on the river this weekend. It was a real life country song; boats, beer, grilling, river banks, floating, friends. This really feels like The South; this is experiencing the real Mississippi.
