Back to visit one of my most favorite places with my entire family. Apple picking, raspberry picking, pumpkin picking, ice cream, & frolicking in the wildflowers.

Apple picking close to home with my sister and brother at C.N. Smith Farm in East Bridgewater. Fall at home is wonderful. C.N. Smith Farm

For Labor Day weekend, we drove down to the Gulf Coast – specifically, the Florida / Alabama line, which is about four and a half hours from where we are in Columbus, Mississippi. I had never been to the Gulf Coast before, and I had been deeply missing the ocean, so it was a highly welcomed escape.
The Gulf is very different than the beaches I’m used to at home. It felt much less developed. No candy stores and arcades or other attractions – the kind that pop up in the most touristy destinations. Instead, the focus was on the beach and the water. Simply being alive and enjoying it.

Back in Columbus, Mississippi, along the River Walk. We came across a tiny garden, swarming with hundreds of beautiful butterflies. Unexpected and wonderful.

Blueberry picking with my little brother before I head back to Mississippi. I absolutely love Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Rhode Island and was searching for any excuse to go back. It was a little too early for apples, but fortunately, blueberry season was still going strong. The hazy sky and showers were not enough to keep us away.
