I had to fly out of Birmingham, Alabama this weekend, which is about two and a half hours away from Columbus, so we decided to make a day of it and stop for lunch nearby. A friend recommended Dixie Fish Co, and I still can’t stop thinking about it. In Boston and Miami, it’s easy to take good food for granted; in The South, it’s much harder to come by anything that isn’t a giant chain. So Dixie Fish was extra special. The food, the decor, the vibe, the open air; I can’t say enough good things. I only wish it were closer.
