Bright blue, bright hydrangeas, bright color, everywhere. The vibe is Mediterranean summer. The mood is Cape Cod beach vacation. It’s fresh. It’s wide open and packed. This is, in spite of everything my senses communicate to me, England.

Day 3, Cornwall Trip
It was only early afternoon when we decided to leave St Ives to find a different beach nearby. To be honest, we would have spent all day on St Ives gorgeous beach, but I had left my bathing suit in the car at the top of the hill, so that seemed like a good catalyst to explore more of Cornwall. And that is how we ended up here, at a place called Carbis Bay, which was not physically too far from St Ives, but felt like an entirely different world. Amalfi Coast kind of world. We parked way up a hill again and walked, this time under a giant stone arch bridge. The beach was packed, alive. Families, couples, people swimming, a cafe. The water was cold.We laid in the sun. It started to rain lightly. Sun showers on a summer day.
